Tiffany & Trever

If you haven't noticed yet, this is me and my husband Trever. I won't lie by saying I thought doing our wedding would be just like doing all the others, it wasn't. We had our own list of trials and tribulations to overcome. I chose to not do a typical late summer wedding theme, pairing Peonies and Ranunculus with birch, typically spring flora and keeping a light feel. It was important that we incorporate the things we love and add special touches to remember those that couldn't be with us. Trevers boutonniere was a ratchet wrench for his love of cars and my bouquet was a customized horseshoe with a locket wrapped in it of my mother and father. My father was there that day but my mother is no longer with us. We held the ceremony and reception at Trevers parents home and were married down by the water in a birch grove. I chose no decorations as I wanted the natural beauty of the site to shine through. I rode to the end of the aisle on horseback where my dad helped me down and walked me the rest of the way. I remember being so nervous my fingertips were tingling and then we shared a laugh as my Uncle Doug performed the ceremony and asked "do you take treasure, I mean Trever." I shared a vow to his three children, something no one knew about but I knew in my heart it was something I had to do. We had everything we wanted that night and then some.
